Fiesta and Owls

I am considering this a Halloween table because of the owls.  I had only planned to work on one Halloween table but my friend said I should use the wreath as a centerpiece. So that was the inspiration for this table. The Tablescaper used one on her table.  You can see her table here.

The napkin rings were a thrifty find.  There are eight of them with four facing one way and four facing the opposite way.  I like the way the pop with all the dark colors.
The Fiesta colors are Persimmon, Paprika and Chocolate.  Persimmon is my favorite Fiesta color.
I made the ceramic owl way back when my mom was taking ceramics.  This is one of the few pices that have survived. The little votive holder is from the $2.50 section at Target.

These are not the true colors. I like the way they look though. My pictures are coming out orange.  I need to get a new camera soon.

Fall with some blue

The inspiration for this table was the napkin, again. It was a thrift store find.  Usually when I find something I really like, I can see the table.  When I see something, the first thought that goes thru my mind is what Fiesta colors will match it.  If I don't feel/see it, I won't buy it.  I'm sure it the same for some of you with the dishes/ items you already have.

The Fiesta colors are Periwinkle, Marigold, Chocolate and Ivory.  My friend gave me the scatters. The ice tea goblets were a wedding a gift.

The centerpiece vase/ candle holder was a clearance purchase from Kirklands.  The small covered dish is Franciscan.  It has marked with made in the USA.  I know the picture is not clear but is wheat on the front.

The napkin rings were a Goodwill.  They were still in the package.

I will be linking up with Marty at A Stroll thru Life for Table Top Tuesday and Kathleen for Let's Dish.

Have a great week!

More Fiesta with Vera

I really like Vera napkins and tablecloths. When I purchased these from Sharon (Her blog is the Queen of Fifty Cents. It is a must follow if you love thrifty finds and animals.), I could envision the table.  I have changed a few things once I put it all together and  I'm happy with the table.

Here is a view of the napkin. Isn't it fabulous!!! I used as part of the centerpiece to bring life to the tablecloth.  I had been looking for this brown cloth for weeks.  I'm glad I took my time since I found it at my favorite thrift shop for $1.99.

The Fiesta colors are in Chocolate and Marigold. Don't they just say fall to you? Oh there is some Ivory in there with the flatware.
The amber dessert glasses were my moms.

I will joing The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.  Stop by to see what every is doing to celebrate these first days of Autumn.

Have a great week!

Fiesta and Franciscan

My aunt collects Franciscan Desert Rose. I have always admired it. Since I have been finding some pieces at thrift stores and estate sales, I guess you could say I am starting my own collection. I like the way it looks with Fiesta in Rose (not vintage) and Ivory(not vintage). Both salt and pepper shakers and the gravy boat were made in the USA before the company was sold. The salad plates are made in England.

The glasses were found at an estate sale a few years ago. The napkins and place mats are clearance purchases from Dillard's. The rings are licensed Fiesta and were found on eBay.

I hope the pictures are better and that I can still link of with Susan at Between Naps on the Porch.
