Purple Fall Table Challenge

I was excited when Cuisine Kathleen challenged us to a purple Fall tablescape. I can't wait to see what others have created.
As I was taking pictures, I thought of other things I could have used or thought about adding another color. In the end I left it as is. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out.  Do you ever second guess your table?
I used Fiesta in Plum and White.  My owl was black but I felt he needed a change so he got a new coat of spray paint.

The purple pumpkins and the votive holders are new.  I was tempted to get four pumpkins
to put on each place setting but I resisted.  The napkin rings below were found at a local shop that sells all types of items.  I haven't been able to go this year to see what they had for Fall.  I really tried not to add new items this year.

Here is the full place setting.  I know the Plum looks darker and may even look black or brown on your screen. It is hard color to photograph.

The squirrel below is what made me choose white.  I knew I wanted him on the table.

I had fun creating this table.  The challenges from Cuisine Kathleen help inspire me.  Be sure to stop by her blog to see what she and others have created.

Fall 2014

I started decorating early for several reasons. One: It felt like Fall due to the drop in temperature. Two: I couldn't wait any longer. I'm usually the person who doesn't like to take things out early. Three:  time limitations.  I have a get together this Friday. I work all day on Saturday. I am watching my mom on Sunday. There are just too many things to list. So I could have posted most of this last week but I waited to set my table for the first day of Autumn. Things did get moved around several times and probably will be again.

So there you have it.  I am ready for Fall. Are you?

Missing the Blogging World

I sure have missed the blogging world.  I manage to post some comment on some of your posts. Please forgive me for being a stranger.  Life took a hold of us well over a year.  We still have some bumps in the road but we are hanging in there.
I have been setting some tables.  I just haven't been able to post.  With Autumn fast approaching, I think I better start getting back in to the swing of things.
Here are a few of the tables I have worked on this summer.  It hasn't been as many as I liked but I didn't always use my beautiful dishes.
This is my pre-Fall table.  I have to admit I have started taking out the Fall decorations.  It felt like Fall on Saturday and with life as busy as it is, it was probably the only day I could work on them.  I hope to post again soon on that.

I set this one for Labor Day.  I think the place mats are cute.  I found them at a thrift store in Houston.

We also started painting the cabinets.  See how dark the drawers are.  I can't wait until we can get back to working on them.

Thanks for stopping by.
