Christmas Holly 2010

This is the third table scape I have created for this season.  I will try to add the photos of the first two.  I just realized I left a bunch of stuff in the background.  I'm still learning.  The pictures are from a cell phone so that is why the quality is so bad.
The dinner plates and luncheon plates are Fiesta as are the salt and pepper shakers and the vintage green bulb candlestick holders. The flatware is Fiesta also and I have mixed it up to include all Ivory, Shamrock and Scarlet.  The table cloth is Lenox and was a clearance purchase made two years ago.  The napkin rings and napkins were thrift store finds.  The napkins were new.  The little plates that say "Hope, Love, Joy and Peace" were from Cracker Barrell.  The red glasses were a gift from my aunt last year and the Holly glasses were purchased at an estate sale by my hubby.
Happy Holidays!

Fiesta Around the House

These are some images of my Fiesta dishes on display around my house. Some of the vintage piecses are not in the best condition but I love them just the same. I have been using and collecting Fiesta for ten years. I usually find the vintage pieces at thrift stores and estate sales. I am very blessed with friends who spoil me with Fiesta also. The ivory casserole dish is a family heirloom.  My grandmother purchased it for her sister-in-law. My aunt gave it to my mom in the late 1980's before she passed on. My mom used to take it out for Thanksgiving. It is excellent condition. It is not Fiesta but made by the same company that makes Fiesta.

Spunky Reflections

Here are a few pictures of my baby.  This was about two years ago when her hair was growing back after we shaved her hair due to the heat. We need to get it done again this year. We are already going to have 100+ degree temperatures.

The other three pictures are just some favorites. She will be turning 8 years old in October.

Heather & Periwinkle Table

I created this tablescape right before Easter. I was inspired by the napkin rings. I found them on clearance at Dillard's. I think I scored them for $1.10 each. The tablecloth was my mother's. It is worn and has stains but that only makes me love it more. The purple candle holders were found at Savers years ago.  The tea cups are Fire King. The Fiesta colors are Heather and Periwinkle.  Both colors are retired.  The silverware is Community and belonged to my mom's aunt. The glasess and blue vase were my neighbor's. Their daughter in-law gave the glasses to before the estate sale they had.  My mom purchased the vase and then gave it to me.
I am still new to blogging even though I created the blog well over a year ago. I still need to figure out how to rotate the picture. I took more pictures but on my cell phone.

Mini tablescape

This is my first attempt at posting a tablescape. It is very simple. It is Post 86 Fiesta in Scarlet.  The place mats and the napkin rings were a thrifty find.  The cake stand was found at Marshall's. The flat ware is Community. It belonged to my mom's aunt.  I am on the hunt for the salad forks.  The goblets were gifts from my aunt. She purchased them at Dillard's on clearance.  I purchased some in green. There are three place settings because we had invited our friend for dinner. She expected us to use paper plates but those are not used in my house unless it is an emergency.  I need to work on my picture taking.  I will try not to use the flash from now on.

Fiesta Christmas bowl

I received a white Fiesta bowl trimmed in scarlet with a Christmas tree. I have never seen this pattern before. I haven't seen it on anyone's blog either. I love it and the person who gave it to me.
