More Fiesta with Vera

I really like Vera napkins and tablecloths. When I purchased these from Sharon (Her blog is the Queen of Fifty Cents. It is a must follow if you love thrifty finds and animals.), I could envision the table.  I have changed a few things once I put it all together and  I'm happy with the table.

Here is a view of the napkin. Isn't it fabulous!!! I used as part of the centerpiece to bring life to the tablecloth.  I had been looking for this brown cloth for weeks.  I'm glad I took my time since I found it at my favorite thrift shop for $1.99.

The Fiesta colors are in Chocolate and Marigold. Don't they just say fall to you? Oh there is some Ivory in there with the flatware.
The amber dessert glasses were my moms.

I will joing The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.  Stop by to see what every is doing to celebrate these first days of Autumn.

Have a great week!

Fiesta and Sunflowers

I had a dish-aster with this table. The folding part of my table gave out and my bowl broke into two pieces.  I'm grateful it was the bowl and not the tureen.  The plates dented the chair and survived. I will be saving the broken bowl pieces for a mosaic project I would like to work on.  Some day!

The inspiration for my table was the napkin.  They are Vera and I purchased them from one of my favorite bloggers:  the Queen of Fifty Cents.  If you have never visited her blog, you should especially if love thrifty finds and animals. She takes photos of fur babies that she sees on her thrifty adventures.
I didn't find any napkin rings that I liked so I made my own.  They were ornaments that I found at Hobby Lobby and glued them to some plastic rings I had already.

The Fiesta colors are Marigold, Chocolate and Shamrock. I didn't have the runner on the table at first.  I got the idea from Tea in Texas as she also set a sunflower table.

The soup tureen is from Cracker Barrel.  This is one of the last items my mom purchased for me.

I had fun putting this table together.  Are you getting ready to set your fall tables?
Have a great week!!

I've fallen into Fall

On my last post I stated I was not ready for fall.  I've changed my mind.  Hobby Lobby and a purchase of some plates are to blame. Just seeing all the colors at the store just made me want to take all my stuff out.
So I spent last weekend taking down stuff, washing it, putting it away and taking out the fall decorations.  Let me tell you, I had fun.

These are the plates.  They are Fiesta.  The decal is Fall Fantasy.  I've admired these for a while.I had to snatch them up when I saw they came for sale at a price I couldn't say no to. There are several combinations I have in my mind for these.

The pumpkin candle holders are what came home with me from Hobby Lobby.  Luckily, they were on sale.  Please note, that the first thing my hubby said when we walked into Hobby Lobby was "NO more pumpkins". See how well I pay attention to him.  LOL.

I should have retaken this last photo but oh well.  This is me just trying to post. I have 12 tables circling in my head along with everything that really needs to get done.  I hope I can post them all.

I am joining the Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.  I hope you can all stop by her place to see what else everyone has going on.
