Fall with some blue

The inspiration for this table was the napkin, again. It was a thrift store find.  Usually when I find something I really like, I can see the table.  When I see something, the first thought that goes thru my mind is what Fiesta colors will match it.  If I don't feel/see it, I won't buy it.  I'm sure it the same for some of you with the dishes/ items you already have.

The Fiesta colors are Periwinkle, Marigold, Chocolate and Ivory.  My friend gave me the scatters. The ice tea goblets were a wedding a gift.

The centerpiece vase/ candle holder was a clearance purchase from Kirklands.  The small covered dish is Franciscan.  It has marked with made in the USA.  I know the picture is not clear but is wheat on the front.

The napkin rings were a Goodwill.  They were still in the package.

I will be linking up with Marty at A Stroll thru Life for Table Top Tuesday and Kathleen for Let's Dish.

Have a great week!

More Fiesta with Vera

I really like Vera napkins and tablecloths. When I purchased these from Sharon (Her blog is the Queen of Fifty Cents. It is a must follow if you love thrifty finds and animals.), I could envision the table.  I have changed a few things once I put it all together and  I'm happy with the table.

Here is a view of the napkin. Isn't it fabulous!!! I used as part of the centerpiece to bring life to the tablecloth.  I had been looking for this brown cloth for weeks.  I'm glad I took my time since I found it at my favorite thrift shop for $1.99.

The Fiesta colors are in Chocolate and Marigold. Don't they just say fall to you? Oh there is some Ivory in there with the flatware.
The amber dessert glasses were my moms.

I will joing The Tablescaper for Seasonal Sundays.  Stop by to see what every is doing to celebrate these first days of Autumn.

Have a great week!

Easter 2012

I had been uninspired. I knew I didn't want to use pastels this year. So I went with Vera butterfly.  After a hard week, this table really made me smile.  Here' wishing you a very happy Easter. I hope you get to spend it with your friends and family.

Heather and Marigold

What I like about Fiesta is all the possible color combinations.  Inspirations come from tablecloths, place mats, etc... In this case, the inspiration was the napkin rings which were a gift. I found a different a dragonfly napkin ring at Kohls. I sent several of friends looking for at least one companion ring. None of my friends were able to find a matching ring but my one friend found these and sent them to me. I am a lucky girl to have my friends who fuel my addiction. Another friend gave me the purple glasses. I found the place mats at Pier1.  I have always admired the ones Diane has on her blog Tablescapes by Diane. If you have never been to her blog, please visit her amazing tables.

I have been having some technical difficulties today but I am going to try to link up with Kathleen for Let's Dish.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great weekend!!

Hen and Roosters

I never thought I would get into so many themes for my tables.

The tablecloth came first. I found it at a thrift store. I liked the colors.  I first used it last year with some other dishes but this time I am using the new Fiesta color Marigold.  The Hen was next. I found her at the Goodwill. She is damaged but I couldn't leave her behind. I found the napkin rings last week at Savers. So I had the table started in my head but then I saw that Shelia at Note Songs was having a party and I had to join in on the fun. Please visit to her blog to see everyone else's Roos and Chicks.
