It was spur of the moment table and we didn't have linens. She just took out the fondue pot. I used one of her mini tables to sit it on.
The coke bottles to the left are salt & pepper shakers.
The white bottles are also salt & pepper shakers.
I hope you enjoyed a break from the Fiesta dishes. My mind is working on another table with my dishes and also with my friend's collection.
I will be linking up with Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!
Oh what fun, Monica!
ReplyDeleteTell her I drank a Coca-Cola a little bit ago- rare for me, I am a tea gal.
: - )
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
So unique. I think about the coca cola tray I had as a child that I played ourside with and ruined. I wish I had not played with it and saved it. I suspect coca cola collecting is just as addicting as fiesta!
ReplyDeleteNeat post.
When I saw the small salt& pepper I remembered I have one somewhere in storage. Now I will have to go on a search. Can't wait for to see more.
ReplyDeleteCathy Cupboard Calamity <;)
Did you find them Cathy? I have a few Coca-Cola items but I have to resist to get more.
DeleteMonica - love this! However, I do not have a choice, since I am from Georgia - the home of Coke!! I am always amazed at how many home decorating products that Coke has licensed over the years. I have known people who only collect the trays - wow! There are a lot of those. Thank your friend for sharing her collection. You two did a great job with the tablescape - thanks for showing it!
ReplyDeleteMonica, what a cute post! So nice of your friend to let us see her collection, I like how the smaller dishes create a double image with the faces. I also love your new banner photo with your red, white and blue setting. Have a great week, Laura
ReplyDeleteThose retro Coke dishes are so much fun! And she even has a Coca-Cola fondue pot! I enjoyed seeing this fun table. laurie
ReplyDeleteHi Monica! I love the vintage look of the coke dishes! It's such fun to see what others collect. I enjoyed seeing your friend's fun things. I'll bet I know what you had to drink!!
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage look....great job, Monica! I love your friend's coca cola collection too...Christine
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute! I didn't know coke dishes were available. How fun to play with a friend's dishes!
ReplyDeleteI like what you said about vision!
Katherine
So much fun - I have a few Coca Cola collectables but nothing like this! Hugs, Holly @ coconutheadsurvivalguide
ReplyDeleteYou must have had a lot of fun playing with someone else's things! I can totally see a table where you mix your pieces with hers. I saw a large collection of Fiestaware the other day. When that happens I always think of you and wonder if you have any missing pieces.
ReplyDeleteAs a matter fact I will be using some Scarlet Fiesta on the next table.
DeleteOh Lulu, I missing a lot of pieces. My wish list is a mile long.
Hey, girl! I see Coca-Cola dishes in flea markets, resale shops, Tuesday Morning...and I have never bought any!!! What's wrong with me?!??!! They're so cool, so nostalgic, so much fun to work with! The vintage look of them is unbeatable!
ReplyDeleteI have NEVER seen a Coca-Cola fondue pot! That's a first!!! Pretty cool!!!
OK...here's one for you that is totally off topic: I'm looking at the plantation shutters in your kitchen in your header. Did those come with your house or did you guys have them installed after? I would LOVE to get those (even though I hear I'll have to sell body parts to be able to afford them!), but they look like you'd have to get the window and the shutters all at once. How does that work? Give me a shout when you have time. Thanks!
They are fun to play with. Maybe they need to go on your list of new dishes to get.
DeleteThe shutters were here when we purchased the house. I have heard they are expensive. It was what helped decide on the house.
Cocal Cola dishes always make me smile. I can tell that you all had a great time playing with the dishes. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Cherry Kay
