Babble and new toys

I finally have a computer and Internet service at home. I'm so excited that I still can't believe it. I need to learn how to link up to my favorite blog parties to show off my tables.  The computer, which was once a luxury, is now a necessity for so many reasons.  It also means we are starting to get back on track.
Happy Easter!

Century Riviera and Scarlet Fiesta

So, I went to my favorite thrift store last weekend and found some vinage Century Riviera dishes with the Wells Peack mark on the bottom. I found a large platter, square platter, small bowl, salad plate, butter dishes (I think) sugar with the lid & creamer. They are in pretty good shape. So of course I had to set up a table scape with them.  Since I still had the table cloth from Valentine's day up I decided to use Scarlet.  The place mats were purchased at Tuesday Morning. The napkin rings are from the same thrift store.  The napkins are Fiesta from Macy's.  The ice tea and champange glasses were wedding gifts. They were given to us by my aunt who first inspired me to tablescape. Her ideal number of place settings is 12 but considers 8 acceptable. She was disappointed when she couldn't find any more of these glasses. The flat ware is Fiesta in Ivory. The cake stand was found at Marshall's on clearance. The cover is Pyrex and was found at the same thrift store last year for $.99.  The cake server was found at another thrift store. I don't know who the maker is.
The casserole dish is my family heirloom.  It was purchased by my grandmother for her sister-in-law. My mom's aunt gave it to my mom in the late '80's before she passed on.  My mom took it our for holidays.  When I saw in my first Fiesta book, I asked my mom for it and she generously gave it to me. It is in excellent condition and I treasure it very much. My aunt was like a grandmother to me as I never got to me my grandmother.
The cordial glasses were a gift from my neighbor.  I found the matching candlestick holders at my favorite thrift store.  The tall candlestick holders were purchased at an estate sale.
I changed out the candlestick holders for these Lenox ones that I found at Savers this past weekend for $1.59 each.

They seem to be a better match.  The Lenox salt & pepper shakers were an estate sale find for $2.00.
Here is the place setting. I like how the napkin ring matches so well.

I had so much setting and resetting this table.

This table was inspired by the napkins. I found them at my favorite thrift shop for $2.99 for a set of six.  I would have never thought to combine Apricot, Chocolate and Rose Fiesta had it not been for the napkins. I took out all my Apricot Fiesta with the exception of a medium vase. The cookie jar was a clearance purchase at Kohl's last year. The Rose Fiesta napkin rings came from eBay. The pink glasses were purchased at an estate sale and the amber glasses were purchased at the Goodwill. I copied the idea of putting the glass votive holders on the candles holders from another Fiesta collector.  I think that is the best idea.
I used my Chocolate Fiesta flat ware. I have fun setting up the table for a nice meal.  It makes it a little more special.
