I had these same daises on my 4th of July table. You can view it here. I cut them down and used one of my flower frogs to hold them up. I should have used a small one that would have fit better. I have been wanting to use this sauce boat made by Metlox with the matching flowers for a while now. The pattern is Poppy Trail but I think it looks like daisies. I found it at my favorite local thrift shop. The Fiesta colors are yellow, shamrock, white and vintange green. There are a lot of elements seen on other tables like the goblets and pitcher, napkin rings and place mats.
Here's a closer view of the base. I believe Suan @ Between Naps on the Porch has these dishes. I would love find a set of them.
I've used different styles of bowls. I have a ton of bowls so it is hard to justify buying more bowls. The bowl above is the bowl that comes with the place setting. The bowl below is the rice bowl.
I set this table right after the 4th of July. I just haven't been able to post it. I think my posts will cease for the moment as I am about to make one of the hardest decisions of my life: putting my mom in a nursing home. She fell on Wednesday and is having other issues that are making it hard for my dad to care for her. So please say a little prayer for us. We are going to need it.
Oh my dear friend Monica,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to learn about your poor Mom......it has to be so difficult, can't even imagine. My Mom died when she was in her 50s so we never dealt with anything like what you are going through.
May you be comforted with prayers - take care and keep us informed.
And you sest a lovely table, as usual.
Take care, sweetie.
♥
Michele
Thank you Michele!
DeleteI love those dishes and they do look like daisies! Sorry to hear about your Mom, watching your parents age is really difficult. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Visit when you can, Laura
ReplyDeleteThank you Laura!
DeleteSo sorry to hear about your Mom. Keeping all of you in my thoughts!
ReplyDeleteLove your table! The Metlox Poppy Trail is the maker of your dish and the pattern is called 'sculptured daisy'. I love their dishes and have several patterns myself. Here is a site if you want to check out other patterns.

Thank you Linda!
DeleteI like what you did in this tablescape. I almost picked out the daisy poppy trail pattern for my wedding dishes. Instead I selected the zinnia Poppy Trail. I see both all the time in flea markets and antique stores. Actually I like mixing like you did because a full set of a pattern looks too matchy matchy to me. I really like your green bowls. If you had plates they would be fun in the daisy pattern but I really like your solid green as accents. Good luck finding them.
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for you and your Mom and Dad. Life is so hard. Totally understand.
Thank you Bonnie!
DeleteYour table is so crisp for mid-summer, Monica. I'm sending good thoughts your way as you work for the best future care for your mother.
