Not Ready for Fall

Although the temperature has dropped a little and some leaves are starting to fall, I am not ready for fall. I know I can't fight it for long. I have started to move stuff around to accomodate the fall decorations but it is still stacked in the room. I won't have a fall table until the first day of autumn. I want to keep enjoying these cooler summer days.

So the inspiration for this table is the napkin. I found 12 of them at my favorite local thrift store. They have the name Rudi Gernreich on them. I haven't researched the name yet. Does anyone know anything about Rudi Gernreich?

The Fiesta colors are Persimmon, White, Tangerine and Shamrock. The place mats and the licensed Fiesta flat ware were gifts from my friends.  The tangerine bread plate that I am using as a tray was also a gift. The green glasses were a clearance purchase from Dillard's years ago. They are very thin and I have already had one of them break but will continue to use the remaining three. It is all meant to be used.
I want to use the gravy boat for the salad dressing. If only we could agree on the same salad dressing.

It is time for Tablescape Thursday over at Between Naps on the Porch. I can't wait to see everyone's table for the week.

  3. I'm with you, sister...I'm not ready for fall, either! We barely got a summer unless you count a daily SAUNA as summer! ;-) I'm holding onto summer for awhile longer, too, although I'm slowly getting sucked in by peer pressure! Those are the coolest napkins! I love the way you used varied colored flatware to mimic the design! Very cool!

  4. Thank you for stopping by. Yes, Susan you are correct. It was called the Monokini. My friend researched it and had a good laugh. Laura, I found the bulb candles holders at an antique store but HLC still sells them on their site. Alycia, I have started to take out more stuff but I still won't work on a fall table until the first day of autumn. Have a good week everyone!
