4th of July 2013

I had been looking forward to setting this table since I purchased the tablecloth. I had several dishes on the it trying to decided which combination I liked best that day.
I will be linking up with Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!

I gathered stuff together in one of my trays to take to the dining area.

I also decorated the china cabinet, cart and shelves that are also in the dining area.

The Fiesta colors are Scarlet, Cobalt and Lapis.  The white stripe plates are not Fiesta but they are made by the same maker.

The plate under the casserole dish is employee item for Homer Laughlin China Company. It is certificate of completion of some kind of training.  I found it a thrift store along with some Fiesta dishes.
I found the lollipops at Walgreens. I will admit I had to throw them away. They melted and stuck to the glasses.

Wishing you a happy and safe 4th of July!

A New Color to Play With!

The new Fiesta color has been released. I was so excited to walk into the store and see the display.  They are still working on taking out stuff but it looked awesome.  It will work with so many colors. You all know I had to set the table with it as soon as I could. However, it is rather difficult to capture the true color on camera.  There were lots of pictures on Facebook but they all looked different.  My lighting leaves a lot to be desired. I tried opening the shutter doors and turning off the light but that was too dark.  So I turned the light back on and took some more pictures.

The Fiesta colors are Lapis, Chocolate, Lemongrass, Chartreuse and Gray.
What's on your table this week?
I will be joining Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!

Have a great week!

Fiesta and Butterflys

I love to reuse my table items and modify them a bit.  I first used this last year for Easter.  You can see it here.
The flatware is a bit different and the centerpiece is new.  The butterfly was a Christmas gift from a dear friend. The Fiesta colors are Peacock, Shamrock, Vintage Yellow and Green. The tablecloth, napkins and rings are all Vera.

Have a great week!

Pinks and Purples

This weeks table has been a long time coming.  I had planned to set this was at the beginning of Spring, but like for many of us, life gets in the way of us doing what we want to do.
One of my close friends gave me the cloth. The next time I use this cloth, I will (I hope) use a different color palette. This time I went with two different Fiesta pinks and two Fiesta purples. The pinks are Rose and Flamingo and the purples are Heather and Plum.

I found the candle holders at Savers years ago. I found the glass votive holders last year at Goodwill. They have a pink tint to them so they work well on this table.

Have a great week.  I hope to join Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish this week.

Where Do I Keep It All Part II

It is that time of year again to show where we keep all our tablescaping goods over at The Tablescaper's blog for her weekly party Seasonal Sundays.  It is her fourth blog-a-versary. So make sure to stop by and wish her well.  Thank you Alma for hosting!! I so look forward to this every year now so I can get some new ideas and for some group therapy to confirm that I am not the only one with this addiction.  LOL.
I participated last year for the first time.  You can see it here.  I had so much fun going around my house looking at my stuff and deciding on what I should post and not post.  It was the same this year.

So I will start off with something I showed you last year which is where I store my day to day bowls.
Bowls have come in gone in the sense that I am sharing with my niece and friend who are new Fiesta collectors. I was able to get the Marigold mixing bowls on the bottom far right. Oh and I did break one while setting up a table.  Luckily I was able to replace it.

Here is my small collection of Fiesta mini pitchers along with some other favorites. I say small because there are hundreds of mini pitchers when you include all the pieces with decals on them.

This cabinet holds most of my vintage Fiesta and some special pieces.  It is not all in the best shape to use but they make great display pieces. So sorry about the picture.

This small cabinet is in the guest bedroom. It holds some special Fiesta pieces also.

My friend gave me a small chest of drawers that are now the home for most of my napkin rings.

The large pitcher (part) collection lives is this corner cabinet outside the kitchen and in the entrance to the guest bedroom.

My hubby found this hutch for me at Goodwill. I am so lucky he is one of my enablers. It holds most of my Christmas dishes. It lives in the garage.

My new addition to my storage solutions is this cedar chest. I found it at a local thrift shop. It now holds most of my tablecloths.  It also lives in the guest bedroom.

So there is another peak on my storage solutions.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.
