4th of July 2013

I had been looking forward to setting this table since I purchased the tablecloth. I had several dishes on the it trying to decided which combination I liked best that day.
I will be linking up with Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!

I gathered stuff together in one of my trays to take to the dining area.

I also decorated the china cabinet, cart and shelves that are also in the dining area.

The Fiesta colors are Scarlet, Cobalt and Lapis.  The white stripe plates are not Fiesta but they are made by the same maker.

The plate under the casserole dish is employee item for Homer Laughlin China Company. It is certificate of completion of some kind of training.  I found it a thrift store along with some Fiesta dishes.
I found the lollipops at Walgreens. I will admit I had to throw them away. They melted and stuck to the glasses.

Wishing you a happy and safe 4th of July!

    1. Thank you. I lucked out on the cloth. My friend gave me her Kohl's cash so I only paid $4 for it.

  9. I've never been tempted to buy Fiesta Ware, but the wonderful designs that you create using it are making me give it a second thought. Great tablescape for a July 4th celebration. I love that you told us that the lollipops became sticky and melted. I always wonder about that when I see bloggers use them as part of a design. Worth it though, for the photo op....they are just the perfect touch of whimsy. Thanks for inviting us for a peak. Happy 4th! Cherry Kay

  10. Hi Monica! Glad your tablecloth was a pretty background for this patriotic tablescape. Your Fiesta china is perfect with the RWB colors. My favorite is the lollipops with patriotic swirl even if they melted. I love the clear iced tea and wonder are they depression glass for they are so pretty! Your goodwill plate is really a special find. I love you visiting my blog and your very kind comments. I so enjoy your blog and that your in Texas. I live in the DFW area and love shopping here for tablescaping and my mind is always planning more tables. I also look forward to using new finds like you did your patriotic tablecloth!
