Still Summer

Yes, I agree with Cuisine Kathleen that it is still summer!!  Although, I will admit I can't wait to play with some of my fall dishes/linens/decorations.

I've missed blogging and playing dishes with all of you! It has been super busy with my parents and new fur babies.  I have continued to set my table but never had to the chance to take pictures.

So here is the table I will share with you today.  The decal plate is Lido with a Sun Porch decal.  I found them at a thrift store.  Only three plates were in good, usable condition. There were a total of 5 and a platter and bowl. I love dishes on dishes.  Can you see the Fiesta on the table? There is Fiesta in Shamrock, Scarlet, Cobalt and Sunflower.

Thanks for stopping by.  I will be linking up with Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish!  Make sure to stop to see what everyone has on their table this week.

Daisies and Fiesta

I had these same daises on my 4th of July table.  You can view it here.  I cut them down and used one of my flower frogs to hold them up.  I should have used a small one that would have fit better.  I have  been wanting to use this sauce boat made by Metlox with the matching flowers for a while now.  The pattern is Poppy Trail but I think it looks like daisies. I found it at my favorite local thrift shop. The Fiesta colors are yellow, shamrock, white and vintange green. There are a lot of elements seen on other tables like the goblets and pitcher, napkin rings and place mats.

Here's a closer view of the base. I believe Suan @ Between Naps on the Porch has these dishes.  I would love find a set of them.

I've used different styles of bowls.  I have a ton of bowls so it is hard to justify buying more bowls. The bowl above is the bowl that comes with the place setting. The bowl below is the rice bowl.

I set this table right after the 4th of July. I just haven't been able to post it. I think my posts will cease for the moment as I am about to make one of the hardest decisions of my life: putting my mom in a nursing home.  She fell on Wednesday and is having other issues that are making it hard for my dad to care for her. So please say a little prayer for us.  We are going to need it.

Fiesta and Strawberries

When I started putting this table together, I didn't have the pitcher and I was trying to make some napkin rings using some strawberry ornaments but I did get them done in time.  My hubby purchased the pitcher for me.  There is a an orange and lemon one also.  They would have worked for my citrus table.  You can see that table here. Maybe next year I will have the new pitchers.

I found the place mats and napkins at different Tuesday Morning's on clearance. So the Fiesta colors are Scarlet, Periwinkle and White. The two little strawberry dishes were Goodwill finds.

I hope to link up with Cuisine Kathleen for Let's Dish on time today since I am not working.  Wish me luck.
